Archer Hotel Napa

The location is top-notch. Staff have been super helpful. The rooms are very modern and the atmosphere is unique and comfortable. We had a balcony room, but the view was mostly of commercial rooftops. Some of the balconies along the front would be much more attractive. Breakfast was quite slow for only one simple meal, but the food was excellent as was the cappuccino. The rooftop bar has a decent view of the city, but again a lot of commercial rooftops. The rooftop pool has a better view of 1st Street and cozy separate areas to relax. It's more of a splash pool as it is only 6 in deep.

I highly recommend staying here. The building, the amenities, and the staff were all amazing end-to-end. More on the staff, they were kind, helpful, and informative. I've stayed at a couple 5-star hotels and the service here is on par. The amenities also shouldn't be missed. They have a large gym with free weights, basic machines, and cardio equipment. My partner and I stayed in the Classic King room. The bed was very comfortable, not too soft and not too stiff either. I also like how they had 2 types of pillows which accommodated my partner and I as I like the softer ones and she likes the firmer ones. The bathroom was great and I like how there was a partition between the toilet and the sink. The shower itself was also very good. They have a big shower head as well as a detachable head. No issues with temperature either. The location is another big plus too as there's plenty of shops and great eats within walking distance. I would highly recommend staying here for its comfort, location, and customer service.

Have stayed many places in Napa and this is definitely our favorite. Rooms were clean and well-appointed. Service was gracious. The valet parking was even more convenient than I thought it might be. What really set it apart was location. Room was quiet, but we were in the center of everything and could enjoy easy walking to restaurants, shopping and the river front. Highly recommend.

We were having a great stay at the hotel until our last night when we decided to order a glass of wine to drink in our room. We asked the hostess at the lobby restaurant if we could order wine to bring to our room, she asked if we wanted to bring it up ourselves or have it brought to us. Since she didn’t mention any price difference between bringing it up ourselves or having it brought to us, we chose to have it sent to our room. It wasn’t until the wine was sent to our room and the bill was presented to me to sign that I saw there was a 5% surcharge plus a 24% service fee plus tips. So in the end our two glass of wine that were around $17/glass ended up to be a total of $55 (only because I refused to tip much more than $5 after all the surcharge). In hindsight I should’ve refused the glasses and send it back because the hostess failed to inform us on the outrageous surcharge. We definitely would’ve chose to bring the wine up to our rooms ourselves if she informed us of the two surcharges when we ordered the wine.
